UMI Performance Panhard Rods for a 1959-1964 Chevrolet Bel Air Base, 1959-1964 Chevrolet Biscayne and 1959-1964 Chevrolet Impala.
This tubular set-up quickly and easily replaces the stock panhard bar on the 58-64 GM B-Body vehicle adding increased rear end stability and rear end adjustment. This adjustable item allows on-car adjustment when rear end centering is needed. By lengthening or shortening the panhard bar you can easily move the rear end side to side for additional tire clearance and appropriate rear end alignment. All adjustments are made while the panhard bar is still attached to the vehicle and only requires two jam nuts to be loosened. This item is a direct replacement for the factory panhard bar and includes new grease-able Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings. Adjustments are made using a left and right hand threaded adjuster CNC machined from 4140 Chrome Moly and heat treated for maximum strength. Note: May not fit wagons, if item is being installed on a wagon please verify length before ordering. The center to center distance of this panhard bar is 31-3/8". The suggested maximum center to center length of this panhard bar is 31-7/8". The suggested minimum center to center length is 30-7/8".
Installation: This item is a direct fit and requires no modifications, can be installed in 30 minutes or less with basic hand tools.
